1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing Pathwise ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Pathwise Is — and Isn't
Pathwise is an academic planning tool that aggregates publicly available course schedules, articulation agreements (ASSIST.org), and AP credit policies to help you build a transfer plan.It is not a substitute for advice from an accredited counselor at your community college or university.Final decisions about course enrollment, transfer eligibility, major prerequisites, and degree requirements must be confirmed with your school's counseling office.
3. Accuracy of Information
We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep course information, prerequisites, articulation agreements, and AP credit mappings accurate, but data changes constantly. We do not guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of any information, and we are not responsible for any consequences of relying on data we display.
4. Account and Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Pathwise. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Pathwise offers free and paid tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not:
- Scrape, mirror, or systematically copy data from the Service
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code
- Use the Service to send spam, harassment, or illegal content
- Impersonate other users or misrepresent your school affiliation
- Share your account credentials
7. Intellectual Property
The Service's software, design, and original content are owned by us and protected by copyright. Course catalog data, articulation agreements, and AP credit policies are sourced from public materials published by the respective colleges, universities, and College Board.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information will be accurate or complete.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account or contacting us.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
