1. Service Description

Pathwise is a transfer planning tool for California community college students. We provide course planning, schedule optimization, and AI-powered guidance to help you plan your transfer to a four-year university.

2. Not Official Academic Advice

Pathwise is an informational tool only. We are not affiliated with Assist.org, CCCApply, any community college, or any university. Our recommendations should not replace guidance from a certified academic counselor. Always verify requirements with your college's counseling office before making enrollment decisions.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. One person per account — sharing accounts is not permitted.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Pathwise offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription at $20/month. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your Settings page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5. Data Accuracy

We strive to keep course catalogs, IGETC requirements, and articulation data accurate, but we cannot guarantee real-time accuracy. Course availability, requirements, and articulation agreements change frequently. Always confirm with official sources.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: abuse the API or attempt to circumvent rate limits, scrape or redistribute our data, impersonate others, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

Pathwise is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for any academic decisions made based on our recommendations. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
